Gardener/crew leader (frankston)

We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Land Management Services Division for a full-time Crew Leader.

The role is perfect for people experienced in gardens and grounds maintenance who are keen to put their experience into practice, while also supporting people with disabilities on the job to learn new skills in Land Management. The role is based out of Keysborough and also working across different locations in the South-East.

The role is Monday – Friday and hours are between 6:00am – 6:00pm.

What you'll need to succeed

- Grounds and gardens maintenance experience

- Turf experience

- Experience in the use and operation of horticultural equipment

- A good level of mechanical aptitude

- Ability to tow a trailer

- Experience in working with people with different abilities is highly desirable but not essential

- Good communication skills; ability to prevent and resolve issues and to build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders

- Ability to advocate and promote community inclusion and person centred support that exceeds standards and is delivered within the available resources

- Good administration skills and computer literacy in order to complete appropriate documentation

- Highly motivated and outcome driven to complete allotted tasks

- Ability to meet the goals and objectives of the team while working in an independent workplace

- Commitment to exceptional service delivery and a demonstrated professional approach to work

- Commitment to the principles of Occupational Health & Safety and Environment, EEO, Cultural Diversity and all relevant legislation.

Must haves

- Right to work in Australia

- NDIS Worker Screening Check

- Working with Children Check

- Full Victorian Driver Licence

- Certificate in First Aid Level 2 + CPR

- Turf or grounds maintenance qualification and/or allied field (desirable)

- White Card preferred

- Chemcert or equivalent (desirable).
