Job Description
The role involves providing a warm and friendly reception service to patients attending our Outpatient Clinics. The successful applicant will work as part of a flexible and dynamic team, offering data entry and customer support services.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Scheduling appointments in accordance with clinic timetables and specific limitations.
2. Processing clinic alterations, additions, and cancellations in liaison with clinic staff.
3. Registering new patients and updating demographic, clinical, and financial data in the patient information system.
4. Producing updated clinic lists and other system information as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, applicants will require:
* High-level communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of professional staff.
* Knowledge of patient information management systems, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
* Clerical experience in a healthcare setting, and knowledge of medical terminology.
