**The Opportunity**
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Safety Advisor to join our Safety team based in our Sydney Head Office at Macquarie Park.
The primary purpose of this position is to lead and maintain a sophisticated safety culture across multiple maintenance/construction focused contracts, adhering to contractual obligations, standards and legislation.
This is a 6 month contract with a possibility of extension
**The Role**:
- Review and update Facilities First policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Australian standards and legislation
- Coordinate training programs for the Contract Manager, Client Service Managers and Employees
- Coordinate and oversee all risk management activities
- Ensure compliance of WHSEQ systems in all facets of the contract.
- Complete site-based quality audits and risk assessments
- Undertake an internal audit program annually and act as the primary day-to-day contact for the outsourced WHSEQ auditor as it relates to the contracts
- Develop and implement policies and procedures
- Maintain Facilities First Quality Management Systems and document management system
- Liaise with auditors and external parties to assist with Facilities First accreditations
- Provide recommendations to the Contract Manager and Contract team on best practices and WHS improvements
**Skills/Qualifications**:
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Similar position
- Knowledge of WHS legislation and regulations
- Strong ability to write and implement WHS documentation
- Cert IV in WHS
- Strong problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Experience in the Facilities Maintenance, Trades or Construction industry
