We are currently seeking an experienced Carpenter to join Palyku Resources Maintenance Team, operating on a major mine site in the Pilbara. This is a FIFO position on an 8:6 roster.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for the construction, installation, and repair of building frameworks and structures across mine site and camp facilities.
You will work with various materials - including timber, steel, concrete, and composite products and collaborate closely with other trades to meet project deadlines and uphold high standards of workmanship.
About You - Qualifications & Skills:
- Trade qualified Carpenter.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial or residential carpentry.
- Strong understanding of carpentry materials, tools, and construction techniques.
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively and prioritise multiple tasks.
- A proactive, safety-first approach to all tasks, with mandatory documentation completed before starting work.
- Ability to scope jobs for material requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete building improvement and maintenance works across mine site and camp facilities.
- Conduct required inspections and prepare stock level reports and material lists.
- Scope maintenance works and small projects for material take-offs.
- Plan and schedule workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
- Work collaboratively within a team of tradespeople.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to a high standard.
- Follow all safety protocols and complete required documentation prior to commencement of tasks.
- Liaise with supervisors to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
- Carry out additional duties aligned with skills and experience as required.
