About the Role
The Primary Way is seeking a highly skilled and experienced French Tutor to deliver premium one-on-one lessons. You will work with students from Years 7 to 10, focusing on building strong foundations in grammar, vocabulary, and overall language proficiency.
This role will initially involve one-on-one teaching, with the opportunity to progress into small group classes as demand grows.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver highly engaging and structured one-on-one French lessons.
* Teach core language skills including grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking.
* Tailor lessons to suit each student's level, goals, and school requirements.
* Build students' confidence and consistency in language learning.
* Track student progress and maintain high academic standards.
* Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and parents as required.
Ideal Candidate
* Passionate about teaching and making a meaningful impact on students.
* Native or near-native French speaker with strong fluency.
* Holds formal qualifications in French and/or education.
* Has a minimum of 5 years of tutoring or teaching experience (highly desirable).
* Demonstrates strong subject knowledge across Years 7–10 French curriculum.
* Able to deliver structured, high-quality, and engaging lessons.
* Organised, punctual, and takes pride in delivering premium teaching.
* Confident in building long-term student relationships and retention.
* Eager to continuously improve and respond to feedback.
* Holds a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
Remuneration & Progression
* $50–$100 per hour, plus performance-based bonuses.
