Position Overview
With a proven track record in delivering major aviation projects nationally, WT delivers innovative, data-driven solutions that support the growth and transformation of this critical sector. As part of this growth, the WT Sydney office continues to expand with high-profile new engagements landing and with existing major projects underway and more in the pipeline, we’re on the lookout for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the growing team. Ideally, we’re seeking candidates experienced in Aviation or similar project environments, skilled in delivering complex expansion and refurbishment projects in a live operational site. This role will perform a traditional quantity surveying functions as well as offering strategic guidance, procurement strategies and commercial management to ensure projects are financially sound and aligned with long-term operational goals.

- Liaising with clients, architects and main contractors
- Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities
- Master-plan and feasibility budgets
- Cost checking of developing design
- Value engineering
- Tender evaluations and analysis
- Contract negotiations
- Cash flow projects
- Procurement
- Cost reporting
- Evaluation of variations
- Valuations
- Final account reporting
- Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims
- Investment analysis
- Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans
About You
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Experience working with and supporting Directors
- Highly motivated with a passion for delivering excellence to clients
- Excellent communication skills
- Full Australian working rights and currently located in Australia
- RICS / AIQS accredited candidates will be highly regarded
- Proficient in the use of CostX
- A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from conception, through to completion and post-project review
