Job Description
What you'll do
We are looking for an experienced Conference Events Sales Executive to join our team at Novotel Barossa Valley Resort. This role is a part time, shared position. Under the guidance of the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for the below.
* Managing all event arrangements from pre-planning and detailing to on-site support and post-event follow-up
* Being the primary contact for organisers throughout their stay
* Coordinating and hosting site inspections and famil experiences
* Liaising with banquet, kitchen, front office, and F&B teams to ensure flawless event delivery
* Promoting positive guest relations and resolving enquiries with professionalism and warmth
* Reviewing guest lists, maintaining event notes, and ensuring operational teams have accurate details
* Upholding high standards of service, grooming and personal presentation
* Supporting revenue growth through up-selling opportunities and relationship building
Qualifications
What you will bring to the role:
* Previous experience in hotel events, weddings, or conference operations
* Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple events with ease
* A creative, solutions-focused mindset
* Excellent communication and guest service skills
* Strong attention to detail, grooming and professional presentation
* Confidence in liaising with vendors, guests, suppliers and internal teams
* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* A genuinely warm and energetic personality that fits our Heartist culture
