What you will do as the Assistant Director, Enterprise Project Management Office
* Develop enterprise project governance and maturity uplift by defining, embedding and continuously improving project management standards, frameworks and assurance processes aligned to organisational priorities.
* Provide advice and support to AER teams, senior leaders and project sponsors on project delivery, governance, risk, assurance and decision‐making across the portfolio.
* Oversee organisation‐wide system and information governance for TechnologyOne ERP and the AER Library, ensuring effective administration, integration management, and vendor engagement.
* Support the development of high‐performing capability within the EPMO, representing the function in cross‐agency forums, and demonstrating strong judgement, leadership and adaptability.
About You
In order to succeed in the role, you will have:
* Demonstrated experience leading a team or similar role in a fast‐paced and large complex people‐centred organisation.
* Demonstrated experience in leading project, program or portfolio management functions.
* Demonstrated experience producing and reviewing project artefacts, such as business cases, schedules, risk registers, status reports and assurance documentation, with the ability to ensure enterprise consistency.
* Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical, governance or project information into clear, actionable guidance and evidence‐based advice to senior stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to quickly understand and lead governance across new systems and processes, including experience with TechnologyOne (or similar ERP systems), Atlassian and Microsoft suites.
