Overview

Our charity is based on a self funded model. We can't rely on government or corporate funding as they are highly unpredictable and unreliable.

We have 3 major events planned for the year.

* National Invisible Illnesses Awareness Day Inaugral Charity Ride
* Invisible Illnesses Christmas Hamper Charity Ride
* Invisible Illnesses Awards & Gala

Role

This role involves planning and coordinating events, supporting volunteer teams, liaising with community partners, and assisting with fundraising initiatives. It is a leadership volunteer role with clear scope, support, and guidance from the organisation.

Skills in organisation, communication, and coordination are beneficial. Previous events or fundraising experience is helpful but not essential.

Your impact helps sustain community programs, build awareness, and strengthen community connection.

In this role, you will

* Plan and coordinate fundraising events and campaigns
* Develop new fundraising ideas and partnerships
* Build and manage a team of event volunteers
* Collaborate with volunteers to promote events
* Manage event logistics, budgets, and timelines
* Help increase visibility and community engagement

What we're looking for

* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Experience or interest in events, fundraising, or marketing
* Creative thinking and a proactive attitude
* Ability to work independently and in a team
* A commitment of at least 6 months

Commitment

Category: Community Services

Commitment: Regular - more than 6 months

Time Required: Approx. 510 hours per week for planning and coordination. Additional hours in the weeks leading up to events. Availability on event days to oversee setup, delivery, and pack-down. Commitment of at least 6 months.

Training

Training and support provided; you wont be doing it alone.
