Overview
Newly created Telecommunications Engineer role within a major Australian healthcare organisation, supporting a large and diverse technology environment.
You will own and evolve the organisation's telephony ecosystem across cloud, hybrid and on-premises solutions.
Responsibilities
Manage and improve cloud, hybrid and on-prem telephony services across all sites.
Support and develop PABX, DECT, mobile and unified communications environments.
Configure and maintain platforms such as Access4 (Broadsoft) and NEC Univerge.
Troubleshoot faults, coordinate vendor support and maintain high service availability.
Assist with adjacent systems including nurse call, CCTV and security technologies.
Maintain documentation, monitor performance and contribute to ongoing platform enhancement.
About You / Qualifications
Experienced Telecommunications Engineer with 5+ years across telephony environments.
Skilled in cloud, on-prem and hybrid telephony, including PABX, DECT and mobile systems.
Knowledgeable across SIP, RTP, H.323 and core networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, MPLS, SD-WAN, QoS, firewalls).
Hands-on experience with Access4 (Broadsoft) and NEC Univerge.
Strong problem-solver who can support a large, multi-site organisation.
Cloud migration experience will be beneficial.
