Creative Director (Copy Based)
Contract: 6-8 month. Location: Surry Hills (Hybrid). Reporting directly to Head of Creative at News Australia (News Corp Australia).
Role Overview
Lead integrated creative projects across News Corp Australia's top news and lifestyle titles including Escape, delicious, news.com.au, taste.com.au and more. Deliver great ideas to win business and balance human creativity with emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
* Constantly deliver great ideas that help win business and lead integrated creative projects across our diverse portfolio.
* Meet with sales, strategy, editorial, and other stakeholders to understand their needs.
* Work both independently and collaborate with others in the creative team nationally to execute work across print, digital, social and video.
* Leverage emerging technologies for efficiency while maintaining a human touch in creative craft.
* Clarify unclear briefs and juggle competing priorities to meet tight deadlines.
Who are you?
* A personable creative with a writing background including several years of experience in an advertising agency, in‑house marketing, or publisher content creation.
* You have experience coming up with fresh ideas in response to briefs and articulating them in a compelling way.
* You show enthusiasm for adopting new tools and technologies that enhance creative workflows.
* You possess clear and professional communication skills, a positive attitude, and experience presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
* You have the ability to work collaboratively in hybrid/nationally distributed teams and have experience managing stakeholder expectations.
* Ideally, you have experience leading creative teams and an understanding of the creator economy, first‑party data strategies, or shoppable content formats.
