**About the Role**
We are currently seeking to appoint a Privacy & Governance Advisor with a leading NSW Government agency to support the Senior Privacy and Governance Advisor and the other team members in providing advice to the team meeting its privacy objectives while enabling the business to succeed.
Key accountabilities include:
- Ability to put yourself in the shoes of busy people who are trying to deliver important projects for our customers whilst protecting personal information.
- Understand the importance of protecting personal information.
- Understand and work with our customers within government, you will participate in regular privacy network meetings across the team where we share ideas on privacy best practice and learn from each other.
- Support many projects to understand privacy risks and incorporate privacy by design to mitigate those risks, often with tight deadlines and complex information flows.
- Contribute to strategic priorities and convey these priorities but still has an appreciation for technical details.
- Advising, influencing, and working with colleagues who are strong in their field but need help in getting a view of the bigger picture, especially around privacy matters.

**About You**
- Governance and Risk management experience.
- Sound communication skills with experience liaising with key stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Thinking outside the box attitude.
- Ability to work in an agile environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience with Atlassian (Jira/Confluence) and O365 suites of products and desire to learn more about them.
- Desire to experiment with new tools, processes, and ways of working.
