Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Underground Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Western Australia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding, servicing and breakdown repairs on various heavy equipment including Sandvik trucks, drills and loaders, Normet charge rigs, CAT graders and Volvo integrated tool carriers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintenance and repair of underground mining equipment
* Performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance
* Diagnostics and troubleshooting of complex equipment issues
* Collaborating with shift supervisors, mechanics and other underground personnel to achieve production goals
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Australian recognized Heavy Diesel Mechanic qualification (essential)
* A minimum of 2 years' post-trade experience working in heavy machinery, agriculture, civil, construction or mining environment
* Current valid manual driver's license (essential) and ability to operate underground vehicles with relevant RPLs
* Strong knowledge of underground mining regulations, procedures and explosives handling
* Strong diagnostic, maintenance, and fault-finding skills
* Ability to work in confined spaces and physically demanding conditions
