About Us
Yumaro is a multi-award-winning not-for-profit organisation dedicated to empowering people with disability to live independent, fulfilling lives. We provide a diverse range of innovative disability services to over 250 participants across the Eurobodalla and southern Shoalhaven shires. Our integrated approach combines supported employment, specialist accommodation, home and community supports, social programs, learning and capacity building, support coordination, and plan management. About the opportunities
Due to the increasing demand for disability support services, Yumaro are always on the lookout for passionate and driven individuals who want to help and support people achieve their goals in an independent way. We are looking for casual workers.
Opportunities include providing:
* In home support - assist with personal care including grooming and feeding
* Community support - help clients with household chores such as cooking and cleaning and arranging transportation
* Support at our independent living complexes
* Social Services - community outings and day programs
* Capacity-building programs - help develop participants' life skills, confidence, and independence
* Support coordination - help participants navigate services such as education, health, and housing
What we seek
* Desire to work in community services in the disability sector
* Experience working with a diverse range of people
* Able to build relationships with residents, their families, your colleagues and other stakeholders
* Hold a current full NSW drivers license
* Have or able to obtain a NSW NDIS Workers Screening check
Please note: Weekend availability and the ability to complete sleepover shifts are essential requirements for this role.
Desirable but not essential
* Recent qualification OR studying towards one in Individual Support
* Experience in Community Services
* Experience providing disability supports
