Key Role in Helicopter Maintenance

This is a critical role for an experienced Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical & Avionics, requiring strong technical skills and ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy maintenance and familiarity with the Leonardo AgustaWestland AW139 helicopter.

The engineer will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled inspections, troubleshooting issues, and carrying out repairs on client aircraft. This will involve maintaining compliance with regulations and technical publications, ensuring aircraft readiness and operational availability.


Responsibilities:

* Inspections and Repairs: Perform routine and non-routine inspections of client aircraft, identifying and repairing faults to ensure safe and efficient operation.
* Documentation: Accurately document all maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion and submission of work sheets, logs, and other required records.
* Collaboration: Work closely with managers, engineers, pilots, and emergency service teams to optimize aircraft availability and performance.
* Base Operations: Support base operations by preparing tasks, maintaining stores, and performing ground support equipment maintenance essential for ongoing operations.
* Tool Control and Workplace Maintenance: Maintain accountability for tool control and ensure the cleanliness, organization, and upkeep of hangars, workshops, related workspaces, and vehicles.


Qualifications and Requirements:

* Experience: Heavy maintenance experience and familiarity with the AW139 helicopter are essential.
* Certifications: CASA licensed on the AW139 and hold a valid work visa.
* Communication Skills: Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility and Availability: Ability to commit to flexible working arrangements and be available to work in Newcastle, NSW.

Additional requirements include holding a Red ASIC card or being able to obtain one, as well as a current Australian Driver's license.
