Instructional Designer Location Doncaster (Hybrid – 2 days onsite, 3 days remote)Contract Until 30 June 2025 | Immediate StartA leading public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to contribute to the development of impactful, engaging learning experiences that support a diverse and high-performing workforce.This contract role is ideal for a creative and strategic learning professional who is passionate about adult learning and can translate complex content into effective, learner-centred training solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Design and develop high-quality learning content for digital, face-to-face and blended delivery Collaborate with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to assess learning needs and co-create tailored solutions Simplify complex technical or operational content into clear and accessible learning materials Apply adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to support workforce capability Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of programs through learner feedback and performance data Contribute to broader workforce development initiatives through learning consultation and content design About You: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information simply and clearly Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build rapport across varied audiences Creative and analytical thinker with the ability to ideate, problem-solve and deliver practical learning solutions Proven initiative and adaptability, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and continuous improvement Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills aligned with long-term organisational goals Requirements: Tertiary qualification in instructional design, education, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience Demonstrated experience in developing learning programs across multiple formats and platforms This is an opportunity to join a professional and collaborative team, delivering work that directly supports service excellence across Victoria.
