Mater Private Hospital Brisbane has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative Theatre team as a Scrub/Scout on a casual basis.

As a perioperative Registered Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and patient-focused care within the operating theatre. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to positive surgical outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing expert scrub and scout nursing care across a variety of surgical procedures
* Delivering holistic, patient-centred care with consideration for physical, emotional, and individual patient needs
* Maintaining compliance with infection control standards, clinical policies, and safety protocols
* Working collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and perioperative colleagues to support seamless theatre workflows
* Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement
* Supporting a positive team environment that reflects Mater's Mission, Values, and commitment to excellence
About you
You are a confident and capable perioperative nurse with a strong foundation in scrub and scout practice, who enjoys working in a fast-paced theatre setting and takes pride in delivering high-quality patient care.
You will bring:
* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
* A minimum of four years' post-graduate experience working as a scrub/scout Registered Nurse
* Demonstrated ability to practice independently within the perioperative environment
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines
* A commitment to patient safety, professional standards, and ongoing learning and development
