Overview


The Team: This position is a part of an exciting new team at the Launceston General Hospital (LGH) as part of the Rheumatology and Persistent Pain Service currently being established, enhancing equity of access to specialist rheumatology services in Northern Tasmania.


The Role


This role requires an experienced nurse who can provide leadership, support and expert advice to other members of the health care team to ensure the efficient and effective coordination and provision of nursing care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions, as well as being a clinical resource for patients and carers. The Rheumatology CNC will also coordinate and evaluate the intake, planning, assessment, evaluation and discharge processes for Rheumatology clients referred from both the acute sector and the community within an outpatient setting.


You will need

* Demonstrated extensive experience, knowledge and understanding of musculoskeletal conditions, chronic disease health care principles, contemporary nursing theory and practice, and the demonstration of clinical expertise to apply this knowledge.
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary environment and demonstrate a capacity to provide clinical leadership and exercise professional judgement and initiative whilst working with minimal supervision.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently

Details of appointment


Permanent, full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as you can join the team.

Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.


Salary


$114,851 to $121,886 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Salary Packaging: You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility


Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

* Holds, or is working towards, relevant postgraduate qualifications
* Current Driver's Licence
