QEII Hospital Emergency Department is seeking expressions of interest from Registered Nurses for future temporary and permanent full time and part time opportunities over the next 12 months. The Emergency Department provides services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and sees approximately 63,000 presentations per year. The Emergency Department caters for all presentations, including medical, surgical & minor trauma as well as Adult & Paediatric patients. The Emergency Department cares for all patients presenting with Mental health concerns as well as those with Gynaecological and obstetric related complaints.

About The Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Emergency Department delivers safe compassionate clinical care; working collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve best practice patient outcomes. The RN engages in reflective, analytical practice through effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of direct person-centred care. The RN continually improves their skills and knowledge developing from graduate to highly skilled Registered Nurse.
* Utilises critical thinking, flexibility, and time management skills to plan and prioritise person care requirements, adapt to clinical/ward changes and coordinate referrals.
* Assume accountability and responsibility for their own actions and delegation of care to Enrolled nurses, Assistants in Nursing, and healthcare workers.
Eligibility Requirements
* Able to do the 3 shifts (Early, Late and Night)
* Available to work across 7 days of the week
* Must hold appropriate work rights to work in Australia
The Process
This Expression of Interest collects a variety of information that will help identify potentially suitable applicants for future casual and temporary employment opportunities. If deemed suitable your details will remain in the Talent Pool for a period of 12 months and should there be an employment opportunity you will be contacted to discuss the opportunity further. Additional selection processes (interview, reference checks and pre-employment checks) to further assess suitability for appointment to a specific position may be required.
