Join to apply for the Senior Manager, Activity Based Costing role at Michael Page.3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Senior Manager, Activity Based Costing role at Michael Page.Work with a recognisable organisation well known across MelbourneSenior position focused on driving key decisions within the businessAbout Our ClientAn iconic and widely recognised organisation, well-known across Melbourne and the broader Australian market, with a strong international presence within their industry.Job DescriptionThe Senior Manager, Activity Based Costing individual will:Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the university's Activity-Based Costing framework.Drive a deep understanding of cost structures across programs, colleges, and portfolios to support strategic financial planning and decision-making.Work collaboratively with finance and operational teams to deliver insights into cost efficiency, resource allocation, and financial sustainability.Leverage a strong affinity for technology and analytics, staying up-to-date with modern modelling tools and systems.Be highly process-oriented and comfortable with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and execution.Act as a trusted advisor to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, providing subject matter expertise, strategic analysis, modelling, and forecasting.Deliver reliable insights and recommendations to support executive decisions, planning, budgeting, risk management, compliance, and performance measurement.Contribute to the development of policies, initiatives, and key strategic projects by delivering robust financial analysis and ROI assessments.Understand the broader organisational context and dynamics, with a forward-thinking mindset and ability to conceptualise and communicate future possibilities.Build strong relationships across a large, complex, and diverse organisation, gaining trust and influence in environments where differing interests can impact outcomes significantly.The Successful ApplicantThe ideal candidate will meet the below criteria:Demonstrated significant and substantial experience contributing effectively at a senior Finance level in complex organisations undergoing significant growth and transformation, coupled with resilience, strong self-awareness, and the ability to balance competing demands in a highly changeable environment.Excellent accounting principles and standards, technical financial competency with substantial analytical expertise working with large volumes of data, relevant business and technological solutions and platforms in large organisations.Influential and collaborative leader with excellent project management/change delivery skills and proven experience leading and implementing large and/or complex transformational initiatives in large and complex organisations.Well-developed resource and people management/leadership skills, including demonstrated ability to build effective high-performance teams in a commercial environment.Proven ability to build effective relationships, work collaboratively with business leaders and multiple stakeholders at all levels.High level of business acumen, continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated high-level negotiation, influencing, planning skills, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.Commercial, strategic thinker with substantial analytical experience with large volumes of data and expertise working with relevant technological solutions and platforms.What's on OfferA generous salary and package on offer with great company benefits.
