A fantastic chance has arisen for a highly experienced Registered Nurse to step into a leadership role of an Associate Nurse Unit Manager and work across the Oncology/Medical Ward at a private hospital in Melbourne on a full-time basis.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Your responsibilities will include:
* Facilitating a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement;
* Maintaining professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset to enable high-quality patient outcomes;
* Providing clinical and operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based;
* Being accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial, and material resources;
* Coordinating and driving clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives;
* Undertaking direct patient care as required.
REQUIREMENTS
* Current Registration with AHPRA;
* Working with Children Check;
* 3-5 years acute medical/surgical experience;
* Current or previous ANUM or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable);
* Degree in relevant specialty area;
* Sound clinical knowledge;
* Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
* Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills;
* Work of a rotating roster and all shift types;
* Positive role modelling behaviours;
* Excellent customer service focus, time management, and prioritisation;
* Ability to manage a dynamic and changing environment;
* High degree of computer literacy, including MS Office and various databases.

RENUMERATION
Salaries range between $54.12 and $55.94 per hour.
