Support Worker - Home and Community Aged Care

St Basil's Aged Care Services (WA) is a trusted not-for-profit provider supporting older Australians to live independently and with dignity in their own homes. With deep roots in multicultural care, we proudly serve clients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds across Perth's northern, eastern and south-eastern suburbs.

We're growing and looking for compassionate, skilled Support Workers (Level 3) who share our commitment to person-centred, culturally sensitive care.


About the Role:

As a St Basil's Support Worker, you'll provide individualised support that enables older people to remain active, safe, and connected within their community. Working independently, you'll follow client‑centred care plans and deliver services such as:

* Personal care and domestic assistance
* Meal preparation and shopping support
* Medication prompts and basic health assistance
* Transport and accompaniment to appointments and social activities
* Dementia care and support with daily living
* Communication and companionship to enhance well‑being

You'll play a vital role in maintaining our clients' dignity, independence, and quality of life.


About You:

You're empathetic, reliable, and take pride in making a real difference every day. You have:

* Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification
* Current First Aid Certificate and National Police Check (within 3 years)
* Valid driver's licence and own vehicle (insured for work use)
* Experience in community aged care or home support preferred
* Strong interpersonal skills and a respectful approach to clients from diverse backgrounds
* Understanding of workplace safety, privacy, and consumer‑directed care principles
