Location:
Sydney (Hybrid - 2 days office now, moving to 3 days from October, with some flexibility)
Contract:
10 months (through to 30 June option to extend or go permanent
Rate:
$70 p/h + super ($78.40 total)
Clearance:

What you'll do
You'll be part of the
core DBA function
ensuring uptime, performance, and reliability across production and non-production databases. Typical responsibilities include:
* Supporting and maintaining Oracle 19C production databases.
* Performing proactive health checks, monitoring, and issue resolution.
* Managing
backup/recovery, configuration, patching, refresh/restore, expdp/impdp, and Data Guard (physical) activities
.
* Handling user tickets and supporting code deployments.
* Installing and configuring DBMS environments.
* Providing documentation, input for process improvements, and collaborating with onshore/offshore DBA teams.
* Contributing to a
mission-critical, 24/7 environment
, while your main hours will be
8:30am-5:30pm
.
What you bring
We're looking for someone with strong Oracle DBA fundamentals and the drive to work on
enterprise-scale systems
.
Essential:
* 4+ years' experience as an Oracle DBA.
* Production environment expertise with Oracle 19C.
* Strong skills in Data Guard, database clustering, replication.
* PLSQL & shell scripting proficiency.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* To be eligible for this role, you must be an
Australian Citizen or holding a current Baseline Security Clearance
.
Nice to have (but not essential):
* Cloud exposure (Azure).
* Oracle GoldenGate.
* Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
