About the Role
We're expanding our Security Operations Centre and looking for a new SOC Team Leader to join our leadership group. You'll work alongside experienced Team Leaders to guide a team of analysts, strengthen our operational maturity, and ensure exceptional outcomes for a diverse portfolio of clients. This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast moving environment, someone who can lead with clarity, coach with empathy, and bring structure to complex situations.
What You'll Lead
Operational Excellence
* Oversee day to day SOC operations for a subset of clients across multiple dispensaries
* Ensure investigations, triage, and incident response follow defined processes
* Maintain situational awareness across active threats and escalations
* Drive continuous improvement in detection, response, and documentation
People Leadership
* Mentor and develop analysts
* Conduct regular 1:1s, feedback cycles, and performance reviews
* Build a culture of accountability, curiosity, and calm under pressure
* Support shift coverage, workload balancing, and team wellbeing
Client Engagement
* Act as an escalation point for client facing incidents
* Communicate technical issues in clear, business relevant language
* Build trust with clients through consistency, transparency, and expertise
* Partner with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery
What You Bring
Essentials
* Experience in a SOC and incident response environment
* Strong understanding of detection, triage, and IR fundamentals
* Proven leadership experience both formal and informal
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to stay composed and decisive during high pressure incidents
* A mindset focused on coaching, collaboration, and operational discipline
Nice to Have
* Experience leading in an MSSP environment
* Exposure to SIEM, EDR and cloud security tooling
* Certifications such as GCIA, GCED, GCIH, CISSP, or similar
