About the role
Meat Flour Wine is seeking an experienced Grill Chef to join their team in Berwick, VIC. This full-time role is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic kitchen crew in a bustling restaurant environment.
As the Grill Chef, you will also be responsible for our meat program, managing and maintaining the dry ageing of the venue as well as bring your creativity with dry aging meats.
What you'll be doing
1. Prepare, portion and handle all things meat
2. Be the Meat person of Meat Flour Wine from staff training, to cooking on the grill during service and prepping all meat items.
3. Ensure all food is prepared and presented in a timely and visually appealing manner
4. Maintain a clean and organised workstation to comply with health and safety regulations
5. Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to coordinate meal preparation
What we're looking for
1. Minimum 4 years' experience as a Grill Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment in a grill or asado style restaurant
2. Proven track record of preparing high-quality grilled dishes to a consistently excellent standard
3. Excellent time management and multitasking skills to work efficiently in a busy kitchen
4. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen team
5. Ability to work calmly under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
6. Passion for food and hospitality with a commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience
