Good Shepherd Lutheran School, Angaston is seeking a passionate teacher to launch our new STEM program (0.4 FTE) from January 2026.
You’ll shape an exciting subject that blends science, technology, engineering, agriculture, and sustainability.
For the right candidate, there is also the possibility of an additional day as an LSO, extending the role’s creative impact.
As the inaugural STEM specialist, you will play a leading role in shaping the curriculum, setting up our new learning hub beside the Eden outdoor education space, and sparking curiosity in every student.
This is a rare opportunity to combine indoor and outdoor learning in a space designed for tinkering, experimenting, designing, and creating.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of the new STEM program (0.4 FTE) from January 2026.
- Shape and implement a STEM curriculum that integrates science, technology, engineering, agriculture, and sustainability.
- Set up and manage the new learning hub beside the Eden outdoor education space for hands-on, inquiry-based learning.
- Foster indoor and outdoor learning experiences that promote tinkering, experimentation, design, and creation.
- Collaborate with staff to incorporate school values and support student curiosity and problem-solving.
- Potentially take on an additional day as an LSO to extend impact across the school.
Qualifications and Qualities
- Passionate, creative teacher with an interest in launching a STEM program.
- Ability to lead curriculum development, create engaging learning experiences, and work with a collaborative team.
- Willingness to work in a space that integrates indoor and outdoor learning.
