Wharf One Food & Wine, located the the Darwin Waterfront is looking for an experience person to join the team as a Full-time Function Manager.
Responsibilities:
• Over manager see the planning, coordination, and execution of special events and private functions, including weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings.
• Work closely with clients to understand their event requirements, preferences, and budgets.
• Create detailed event proposals, contracts, and agreements, including menu selection, pricing, and terms.
• Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and service staff to ensure seamless execution of events, including staff scheduling and assignments.
• Manage event timelines, set-up, and breakdown, ensuring that all aspects of the event run smoothly and efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the event planning process, addressing client inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote special events and generate sales leads.
• Conduct site visits and tours for prospective clients, showcasing the restaurant's facilities and capabilities.
• Maintain an event calendar, booking schedule, and availability for private functions, ensuring maximum utilization of event spaces.
• Track sales and revenue goals for special events and private dining, reporting performance to management.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in event planning, hospitality management, or related field.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric mindset.
• Detail-oriented and resourceful, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the demands of the job.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software is preferred.

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year Based on Restaurant Industry Award **** Standards.
Salary based on a minimum of 38 hours per week.
Holiday and personal leave accrued pro-rata, with salary determined by the level of experience.
