Our client site in the heart of Brisbane, is a 359-bed facility looking after children up to the age of eighteen. We deliver a range of services including Cleaning, Porterage, Food Services, Materials Distribution, Help Desk, Linen, Security, Grounds and Gardens, Pest Control and Hard FM services.

You'll bring your passion and commitment to "all things Safety" to site each day and work collaboratively with your colleagues to ensure our "Safety First" approach is part of their daily operations.
**A bit about your new role**:
- Monitor the implementation of operational safety, health, environment and QA policies and systems
- Risk management
- Deliver effective HSEQ programs
- Incident investigations
- Ensure compliance with Compass Group Quality Standards
- Consult with site management and advise on HSEQ matters
- Ensure effective communication of HSEQ information across the site
- Maintain a culture committed to the Compass Group HSEQ programs
- Drive behaviours and safety culture
**A bit about you**:
- Cert IV in OH&S
- Significant HSEQ experience, ideally in hospital and/or healthcare environment
- Demonstrated experience implementing and monitoring HSE programs in a multi-disciplined environment
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and people safety in a healthcare setting
- Sound understanding of return to work and work cover processes
- Have a genuine interest and belief in "Safety First" and work closely with your team members to achieve a safe, happy and collaborative work environment
In line with required legislation, a valid and current National Police check, Working With Children (Blue Card) and Hepatitis B Immunity will be required as part of the standard recruitment and selection process for this position.
