About the Role
WorkPac is currently seeking a Welder or Trade Assistant seeking to start an apprenticeship in Boilermaking for an ongoing role based in Welshpool. This position is located within a concrete precast yard, where you will be performing basic welding tasks on reinforcement bars.
This role is well suited to candidates with limited experience, particularly those looking to build on their welding skills in a stable, long-term environment. The work primarily involves simple MIG welding and tack welding, with training and support provided on site.
What You Will Be Doing
* Performing basic MIG welding and tack welding on reinforcement bars
* Assisting with fabrication tasks within a concrete precast yard
* Working in a manufacturing-style environment
* Following all site safety procedures and OH&S requirements
* Assisting trades and working as part of a team
What You Will Need
Essential:
* Basic MIG welding experience
* Interest in pursuing or continuing an Apprentice Boilermaker pathway
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen
* Full Australian working rights
* Strong safety awareness and willingness to learn
