About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Seafreight Operator to join our dynamic team in Moorebank. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the smooth and efficient movement of goods across international waters, ensuring our clients' supply chain needs are met with professionalism and reliability. Experience in Full Container Load (FCL) operations for both import and export is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage FCL import and export operations, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently from booking to final delivery.
* Coordinate the booking, tracking, and delivery of seafreight shipments for a diverse client base.
* Liaise with shipping lines, customs brokers, and logistics providers to ensure seamless import and export processes.
* Prepare and manage all necessary documentation, including bills of lading, manifests, and customs paperwork.
* Monitor shipment progress and proactively update clients on any changes or delays.
* Provide exceptional customer service and support to both internal and external stakeholders.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of seafreight processes and procedures.
* Maintain accurate records and data within our logistics management system.
What We're Looking For
* 2-3 years' experience in a seafreight or freight forwarding role, with a strong focus on FCL import and export operations.
* Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs requirements, and documentation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with a range of stakeholders.
* Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve logistics challenges.
* Proficiency in CargoWise One is preferred but not essential.
* A genuine interest in the logistics and supply chain industry.
