About the Role
This role involves delivering the Skilling Queenslanders for Work Program, planning and coordinating activities to ensure success. You will recruit, support, and engage program participants, mentoring them to improve LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills) and develop employability skills to create employment outcomes.
The program aims to address barriers such as LLN, travel, and access to local employer networks, leading to higher employment participation, education levels, community engagement, and socioeconomic benefits. You will liaise with government departments, community organizations, and employers, and may also provide training and assessment as needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and coordinate the Skilling Queenslanders for Work Program
* Recruit, support, and mentor program participants
* Liaise with government agencies and community organizations
* Develop relationships with local employers
* Provide training and assessment services as required
Essential Criteria
* Qualifications in Training and Assessment, Skills for Work and Vocational pathways, or related fields
* Experience delivering government-funded programs such as Skilling Queenslanders for Work
* Experience in coordinating programs with vulnerable populations
* Cultural understanding of CALD communities
* Knowledge of labor market trends and employment barriers
* Ability to handle unpredictable situations
* Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
