The Role
We are looking for a skilled, trusted, and highly motivated Site Supervisor to join our dynamic and growing team who will be based from the Newcastle region. This is a key role within the TechSpan structure and involves taking responsibility for the site supervision and coordination of subcontractors along with principal contractors relating to our scope of works. This includes managing external sub-contractors, suppliers and ensuring the client experience for the construction phase is world class.
TechSpan's typical scope of works involves structural steel, cladding, concrete panels, and occasional involvement with slab and footings, with extended scope encompassing associated structural and civil works as required by project specifications.
The role will involve travel and some overnight stays. You will be normally providing lightweight oversight of multiple sites in the Sydney region, Central coast and Upper hunter as a main. Scheduled visits to our Armidale head office will also be expected.
What You'll Do
* Maintain productive relationships and communicate effectively with all project stakeholders including our production and design teams, construction professionals, clients and subcontractors.
* Negotiate pricing and timing, coordination and scope with both the Principal and our Subcontractors to achieve on budget and on time construction.
* Negotiate cost variations and adjustments to schedules as required through the duration of the projects.
* Proactively coordinate subcontractor schedules and materials to ensure a smooth construction process.
* Negotiate daily construction issues as they arise with principal contractors and subcontractors.
* Prepare weekly reports for the construction manager including financial, progress and safety KPI's.
* Be able to understand and achieve the financial goals for the construction department.
* Take responsibility to maintain WHS obligations and maintain records as required.

You're an experienced site leader with strong people skills and a practical mindset. You thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy working closely with your team to achieve shared goals.
You'll bring:
* Proven experience supervising commercial or industrial construction sites
* Solid knowledge of construction methods, standards, and WHS practices
* Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Current White Card and driver's licence (additional tickets desirable - Working at Heights/EWP/Rigger/Telehandler)
* Structural and cladding experience
* Ability to work independently
* Computer literate with Microsoft suite as a base
