About the roleThe HVAC Underfloor Heating Manager plays a key leadership role in overseeing the design, installation, and performance of underfloor heating systems, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support & ServiceProvide expert troubleshooting of hydronic heat pumps, boilers, and system controls via phone, email, and site visits when necessary.
Service and support electric floor heating products, including thermostat replacement, cable fault location, and repairs.
Maintain accurate records of service calls, warranty claims, and technical support activities.
Act as an escalation point for complex technical enquiries from customers, installers, and internal staff.
Provide technical support for sales and operations staff.
Installation Oversight & Quality ControlConduct installation job reviews of both electric and hydronic projects to ensure installations meet clients standards, NCC and Industry best practice.
Develop and maintain installation manuals, checklists, and technical documentation.
Review and approve system designs and drawings for compliance and buildability.
Implement and oversee commissioning procedures for hydronic systems (pressure testing, balancing, control verification).
Mentor, train, and support installers (both internal staff and subcontractors).
System Design & DevelopmentAssist in the design, detailing, and documentation of heating systems.
Select and size components, prepare schematics, and coordinate CAD design for hydronic projects.
Work with suppliers on product development, upgrades, and technical issues.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of system design standards and installation processes.
What We're Looking For:Proven experience in Hydronic Heating or as a HVAC Service Technician
Solid knowledge of air conditioning systems including controls, inverter systems.
Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues
Strong understanding of refrigeration principles, heat load calculations and system controls.
Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to work independently.
Outstanding customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to other technicians and non-technical customers.
Trade qualification in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Electrical, or Plumbing (suitable for NSW Qualified Supervisor Certificate).
Valid driver's licence with good driving record.
Experience supervising technicians or subcontractors.
Familiarity with NCC requirements and Australian Standards relating to HVAC, hydronics, and electrical installations.
Experience with design and project management software (CAD familiarity)
