Churches of Christ is seeking an experienced and compassionate Service Manager to oversee the operational, clinical, and cultural performance of our residential aged care service in Essendon, VIC.
As a key leader within our Seniors Living group you will ensure high-quality resident outcomes, and foster a supportive, values-driven workplace aligned with our values.
You do not need to be from a Clinical background to apply for this role however this would be highly advantageous. This role would be the perfect opportunity for a NUM or DON who is looking to step away from Acute care.
About the Role
In this full-time leadership position, you will be responsible for:
Operational & Clinical Leadership
* Ensuring high standards of nursing, personal care, lifestyle programs, and customer service.
* Overseeing contemporary clinical practices and maintaining accreditation requirements.
* Managing clinical indicators, business targets, and continuous quality improvements.
People, Culture & Community
* Leading, supporting, and developing a multidisciplinary team, volunteers, and placement students.
* Fostering a culture of safety, compassion, and service excellence.
* Building relationships with residents, families, and the local community to support occupancy and engagement.
Financial & Strategic Management
* Meeting operational goals, managing budgets, and identifying opportunities for efficiency.
* Ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory, and reporting requirements.
* Supporting strategic objectives and promoting best practice across the service.
As a designated Responsible Person under the Aged Care Act 2024 (Cth), you will uphold safety, transparency, regulatory compliance, and ethical governance across all aspects of service delivery.
About You
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Registered Nurse or other clinical professional registered with AHPRA OR postgraduate qualifications in health/business administration (or equivalent experience).
* Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience, with recent practice.
* Proven leadership experience in aged care, health administration or a related field.
* Strong knowledge of aged care standards, quality systems, and funding instruments.
* Current driver's licence.
* National Police Check.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (as required).
* National Personal Insolvency Check.
* Australian Work Rights (We are unable to offer sponsorship for this role)
Desirable
* Postgraduate qualifications in HR, Business, Quality Management, Nursing, or Allied Health.
* Experience with electronic documentation systems.
* A positive, solutions-focused approach.
