Leichhardt is seeking an experienced Manager - Health, Safety, Training & Risk (HST&R) Manager to provide strategic direction and influential leadership across its corporate and operational sites.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and based in their Subiaco office, this is a critical executive leadership position which will operate at the strategic level and have company-wide impact, with no direct reports.
The Manager - HST&R is responsible for leading the Company's Health, Safety, Risk and Training functions across the business. You will shape strategy, influence executive decision-making, and ensure robust systems are in place to support safe, compliant and high-performing operations.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Strategic Health and Safety Leadership
* Company Risk Management
* Training and Capability Development
* Systems and Governance
* Executive Coaching and Leadership Influence within the function
* Fit for purpose process improvement
You will formalise and embed the Company's strategic risk framework, ensuring risk management is proactive, integrated and aligned to business growth and operational expansion.
As a trusted coach to leaders, you will be relatable while bringing the discipline to develop a clear plan and implement that plan with measurable outcomes.
About You
This role requires a highly experienced professional capable of working autonomously while influencing across the organisation, from site supervisors through to the Executive and Board.
* Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety (or related discipline)
* Previous relevant experience and a reputation for being a credible H&S leader who can operate at the Executive level.
* Experience designing and implementing health, safety and risk management systems.
* Strong experience in audit development and execution in complex operating environments.
* Strong working knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks.
* Experience facilitating incident investigations.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Commercial acumen and strategic thinking capability.
* High attention to detail.
* Proven ability to influence and coach senior leaders.
* Ability to work autonomously and deliver outcomes within deadlines.
* Credible and relatable across all levels and sites.
* Demonstrated capability in driving system improvements and organisational change.
* A disciplined, plan-led approach with proven implementation skills.
