With a strong and growing project pipeline, they are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to help lead the delivery of major HV and renewable energy projects that are shaping Australia's energy transition.
About The Role
As Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering large-scale high-voltage and renewable energy infrastructure projects from concept through to commissioning. You'll provide technical leadership across design coordination, procurement, construction support, quality, and risk management.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of critical work packages, influence project outcomes, and grow into broader leadership responsibilities across HV and renewable energy delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical delivery across HV and renewable energy project scopes.
Support project planning, scoping, estimating, and tender development.
Coordinate design development, ensuring constructability and compliance.
Manage procurement of technical equipment and services from specification to handover.
Act as the interface between designers, construction teams, and suppliers.
Manage project documentation including RFIs, NCRs, ITPs, and design submissions.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Attend site and manufacturer inspections, FATs, and commissioning activities.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)
5+ years' experience as a Project Engineer within HV, transmission or renewable energy environments.
Strong technical understanding of HV substations, primary/secondary systems, or renewable energy infrastructure.
Proven experience managing procurement packages and contractor interfaces.
Sound knowledge of project management principles in a construction or EPC context.
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
