POSITION SUMMARY
The primary objective is to provide exceptional customer service, to manage and monitor the Standard Operating Environment (SOE) projects implementations and activities at VITG. To provide guidance to technical engineers in respect to the delivery of all desktop solutions. Under the direction of the Device Provisioning Manager, this position is responsible for the tracking and accounting of all IT and related assets. The device provisioning technician is responsible for supporting all aspects of the IT Asset Management (ITAM) lifecycle, including inventory management, analysis and reporting.
POSITION OUTCOMES
- Manage customer SOEs by preparing designs for new or existing SOEs.
- Application analysis, testing and remediation skills.
- Build, configure, and implement Microsoft based solutions.
- Prepare and deliver As Built as Configured and Standard Operating Procedures and conduct Skills Transfer with our clients.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with other VITG team members to deliver quality outcomes for our clients.
- Leverage VITG’s vendor relationships to assist with design, configuration and remediation activities based on best practices.
- Processes requests for IT hardware and assists with the deployment to our clients, tracking hardware location changes, ensuring accurate accounting of assets.
- Prepare and configure devices for deployment.
- Install and update software on devices.
- Ensure devices meet Organisational standards.
- Continuous improvement and iteration of technical processes, tools and reporting.
- Creation of SoE images for all our client base and storing on image server or Intune/Autopilot if licensed
- Planning the deployment of devices that are not deemed major projects, i.e. PC’s, laptops, phones, tablets, WAPs etc.
- Deployment of the devices themselves or organizing the deployment (drop ship) at remote sites.
- Perform Service desk activities if work is light on in the deployment space
- Assist with managing client expectations with VITG’s Project Management team.
- Ability to participate in the creation of recent products and solutions by being a member of a cross-functional team
- Protect the Organisation’s ‘Character’ by keeping internal and external information confidential.

POSITION COMPETENCIES
- SOE/Intune and Application deployment experience with enterprise deployment tools.
- Task sequence development and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of hardware and software installation.
- Ability to follow standardized process.
- Experience in a client-focused IT technical support role.
- Experience with an MSP preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and being able to interact with end-users effectively.
- Demonstrated high level of customer service and customer advocacy skills and proven ability to build strong relationships with a range of clients.
- Ability to work independently, yet part of a collaborative team.
- Strong Organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Promote a culture of quality customer service in the Organisation.
