Therapeutic Residential Youth Worker
The Role:
This is a challenging and varied role, where you will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality therapeutic and restorative care to young people in residential settings. As a Residential Youth Worker, you will work closely with colleagues to create a safe and nurturing home environment, providing support and guidance to young people with complex needs.
You will be required to possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills, as well as the ability to maintain professional boundaries and work therapeutically with young people. Your knowledge of adolescent and child development, as well as trauma and attachment theories, will be essential in supporting our clients.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment, contributing to the delivery of exceptional care and services to our clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality therapeutic and restorative care to young people in residential settings
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a safe and nurturing home environment
- Support young people with complex needs, using evidence-based practices and therapies
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of client progress and interventions
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care) or relevant tertiary qualification
- Strong understanding of adolescent and child development, trauma and attachment theories
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work therapeutically with young people and maintain professional boundaries
