Deflector Operation consists of two high-grade, narrow vein Gold/Copper mines, located 160 km east of Geraldton.
The ore is contained in a series of structurally complex lodes, namely the Deflector and Deflector Southwest deposits.
Reporting to the Underground Supervisor, the Special Projects Crew member plays a vital role in construction, maintaining and supporting underground infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations.
This position will be offered on a 14:14 FIFO roster from Perth or 14:14 DIDO roster from Geraldton.
Key responsibilities of this role will include: Constructing maintaining underground infrastructure.
Executing mining civil projects including fan chambers, pumpstations, and substations.
Forming and pouring concrete pads.
Building ventilation controls and shotcrete walls.
Setting up underground backfill locations and mixing Cement Aggregate Fill (CAF).
Hanging secondary fans.
Installing underground ladderways.
Undertaking special labour projects underground.
Installing and maintaining underground services including ventilation ducting, poly and steel pipes and electrical services.
Assisting with scheduled inspections, servicing, and troubleshooting of underground services Operating underground service vehicles including Integrated Tool Carriers, Agitator Trucks, and Elevated Work Platforms.
Supporting production goals by maintaining service infrastructure to minimise downtime.
Assisting surface infrastructure and supply crews when required.
Completing relevant service crew documentation and shift reports accurately.
Maximising return on assets through effective utilisation, care, and security of equipment and tools.
Maintaining compliance with Vault Minerals' isolation and lockout/tagout procedures.
Assisting in other operational activities as required by the Underground Supervisors.
About You Minimum Year 10 education with 1+ year experience in underground service crew operations.
Skilled in operating EWP and ITC machinery.
Understanding of underground ventilation, pipework, and service installations.
Holds WA Manual Driver's Licence, Senior First Aid, Working at Heights, and DGSC.
Site-inducted in Level 1 2 Isolation procedures.
Team player with strong communication and safety focus.
