The Role
A leading tier one construction company with a strong national delivery capability is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join their Perth team, supporting the delivery of a high-profile project south of Perth.
This business is known for delivering innovative, large-scale projects across complex sectors, with a focus on quality, sustainability, and long-term value. They are recognised for handling technically challenging builds and providing strategic project management, design, and construction services.
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a key leadership role across the project, driving engineering outcomes, coordinating complex construction activities, and supporting successful project delivery within a high-performing WA portfolio.
Working closely with the Construction Manager and broader delivery team, you will oversee planning, design coordination, procurement, subcontractor management, and ensure best-in-class quality, safety, and commercial performance.
Responsibilities
* Lead planning, design, and technical coordination across allocated packages
* Manage subcontractor performance, scope, and program delivery
* Oversee procurement strategies and contribute to tender evaluations
* Monitor project progress, cost control, risk, and change management
* Provide leadership, mentoring, and development to Project Engineers and Site Engineers
* Ensure high standards of quality, safety, and sustainability are consistently achieved
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
To be successful in this key role, you must have:
* Ideally 8+ years' experience in the construction industry, preferably on large-scale building projects
* Proven experience delivering complex commercial, defence, health, education, or major building projects
* Strong stakeholder engagement and subcontractor management capability
* Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
* Clear and confident communication skills with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively
