We are currently seeking an experienced Cleaner to work at the Newcastle Mater Hospital. You'll work as part of our supportive cleaning team to ensure the cleanliness of the hospital whilst providing genuine service and care to the patients and visitors within the hospital.
**THE POSITION**
- Providing professional customer service
- This casual opportunity has shift times of 6am-2pm or 3pm-8:30pm, everyday of the week.
- General hospital cleaning duties as required such as discharge cleaning, ward cleaning, collection of waste
- Receiving requests to assist with urgent cleans or additional tasks around the hospital
- Use of carpet extractor and steam cleaning machines
- Washing of external surfaces and furniture
**THE PERSON**
- An excellent eye for detail and well presented
- You're able to work on your own but also within a team environment
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience within a hospital or aged care environment is highly regarded
- Willingness to obtain a National Police Check Clearance and provide proof of immunity for vaccine preventable diseases
