The Role
An exciting opportunity exists fora suitably qualified and passionate Centre Coordinator atthe Wendouree Children's Centre.
Wendouree Children's Centre is a 75-place long day care and kindergarten in a convenient Wendouree location opposite Stockland Wendouree. This service is part of the larger City of Ballarat Integrated Children's Servicesthat includes the Ballarat and Lifestyle Aquatic Centre Children's Centre, Family Day Care and Girrabanya Integrated Children's Centre which also provide Kindergarten and Occasional Care services Djila-tjarriu Kindergarten and Rowan View Children's centre.

You will receive support from an experienced leadership team including Manager Integrated Children's Services, Quality and Compliance Team, Team Leader (second-in-charge), Early Years Management Kindergarten Coordinator and Educational Leader.
Your career will be enhanced as you learn from and partner with other early childhood professionals. The centre is co-located with Maternal and Child Health and partners with a range of other Council programs including Best Start, Supported Playgroups and Parent Place.
The Coordinator of Wendouree Children's Centre is required to provide leadershipof a smallteam of passionate, knowledgeable and experienced educators with low staff turnover. You will manage all aspects of theWendouree Children's Centre with a focus on striving for excellence ineducationand care.
Your key responsibilities will include;
Participatingin the provision of responsiveearly childhood education and care.
Supportingthe development of the Wendouree and BALC creche teams and its individual members
Leadingthe team and developingexcellence in service provision.
Promotingpositive and effective communications with all stakeholders.
Supportinga comprehensiveapproach to service administrative functions and requirements.
Key Selection Criteria
Relevant Diploma or above in accordance with the National Quality Framework and the Education and Care Services National Regulations.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of current best practice in the provision ofearly childhood education and care services, particularly in an integrated environment.
Demonstratedexperience of providing innovative, high quality customer service within a child-centred,family-focusedframework.
Proven experience and ability to provide effective staff leadership and management; and ability to buildcapacity within the existing workforce.
Highly developed interpersonal skillswithdemonstrated ability to engage and work witha diverse range of stakeholdersincluding parents, colleagues and local community members.
Ability to provide sound financial budget management and reporting.
Ability to produce high quality written documents including correspondence, reporting, plans, and funding submissions.
