A$60.00/hr - A$80.00/hr
Matrix Education is now hiring Maths Teachers to join us at our Chatswood, Epping, Castle Hill, Strathfield or Parramatta campuses for an immediate start!
This role is ideal for anyone who is a subject matter expert who can explain things clearly and is passionate about their area of expertise! Our team is a diverse group of high school and primary Teachers, corporate professionals, university teaching staff and post graduate candidates and students.
Classes commence at 4:30pm on weekdays at our fabulous, state of the art campuses, all within 3 minutes walk from major railway (or Metro) stations!
You will have the opportunity to work with a fun and talented team in a great work environment. Minimal lesson preparation is required as lessons and resources are provided for you.
What you'll do...
* Teaching regular weekly classes throughout the academic term (all lesson materials and resources are prepared for you).
* Ongoing monitoring of student’s academic progress through marking of short weekly quizzes.
* Flagging of struggling students to academic team leaders for additional academic mentoring.
What you'll need...
* A genuine passion for teaching.
* Previous experience teaching secondary Maths in a classroom setting.
* Extensive knowledge of the current NESA curriculum in stage 4, 5, and 6 Maths.
* Completed their degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
* Postgraduate studies in the above listed disciplines will be highly regarded.
