What you'll be doing
* Reviewing and assessing credit applications, financial statements, and other supporting documentation to determine creditworthiness
* Researching and helping the broker team with credit recommendations
* Ensuring that deadlines for clients are met
* Monitoring and managing existing credit accounts, including identifying potential risks and implementing appropriate strategies
* Collaborating with internal teams, such as sales and underwriting, to provide timely and accurate credit-related information
* Staying up-to-date with industry regulations, trends, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
What we're looking for
* Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field
* Certificate or Diploma level qualification is acceptable for this role
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a credit analyst or similar financial analysis role
* Experience in both consumer and commercial credit analysis is required
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify risks
* Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for spotting discrepancies or potential issues
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders
* Proficiency in using financial software and data analysis tools
* Australian work rights are required for this position
