Bring your residential construction drafting expertise and leadership skills together in one career-defining role. As a result of continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Revit and CAD residential construction drafting specialist who can set drafting standards, mentor a small team, and deliver accurate, buildable documentation that makes every home possible.
Key Responsibilities:
* Be an advanced and experienced Revit and AutoCAD user for creating, overseeing and reviewing high quality (and sometimes complex) residential construction drawings
* Have strong residential construction drafting experience across (single & multi-storey) Class 1 and Class 2 dwellings
* Deliver accurate, buildable drawing packages to company standards
* Ensure drawing and document compliance with NCC, council and developer guidelines
* Collaborate with Sales, Estimating, Pre-Construction, Construction and external third parties to ensure drawings are aligned with project specifications
* Have strong self-checking skills to identify and resolve buildability issues before they reach site
* Lead, train, mentor and develop a small team of 3–5 drafters, providing technical guidance and support
* Monitor drafting team workload, progress and reporting to meet deadlines
* Have a high attention to detail with excellent time management and communication skills
* Communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Drive continuous improvement of drafting systems (Revit optimisation journey), libraries and templates
