About the Role
As a Communications Officer Volunteer, you will be part of a team that supports the delivery of our Cessation Communications Plan. This role involves drafting and scheduling a monthly newsletter, creating innovative health promotion content and resources, and ensuring all communications align with our branding and policies.
Key Responsibilities
* Draft and schedule the monthly newsletter.
* Create tobacco-related health promotion content and resources.
* E nsure all communications align with our branding and policies.
* Develop clear and concise content with volunteers and staff members.
* Maintain high written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to the team's work.
About You
We are looking for someone with interest and knowledge in health promotion, social justice, tobacco control, and not-for-profit sectors. You should have strong written and verbal communication skills, experience in translating complex health information into clear content, and excellent interpersonal skills.
You will also need to be computer literate in Microsoft Office and online platforms, willing to participate in training and use our systems. Strong time management skills and high-level attention to detail are essential.
