A minimum of 3+ years of electrical experience is required for this position.
What You'll Work With
* Gas & Diesel Generators – from compact units to large‐scale installations
* Advanced Control Systems – Deep Sea Electronics, ComAp, and PLC‐based systems
* Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) – cutting‐edge renewable energy technology
* Automatic Transfer Switchgear (ATS) – critical power switching systems
* Fuel Systems & Ancillary Equipment – complete power solution installations
Key Responsibilities
As an Electrical Service Technician, you'll be a vital part of our team, combining technical expertise with customer service excellence.
Technical Service Delivery
* Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on generators, BESS, and power systems
* Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults efficiently and accurately
* Respond to emergency breakdowns with urgency and professionalism
* Install, commission, and test power generation equipment and control systems
* Read and interpret complex electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
* Perform electrical testing and safety compliance inspections
Workshop & Field Operations
* Work both independently in the field and collaboratively in our workshop environment
* Maintain accurate service records and documentation using our systems
* Complete electrical compliance certificates and test sheets
* Manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and service commitments
* Ensure all work meets Australian Standards and OEM specifications
* Build strong relationships with clients through professional, courteous service
* Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to customers and colleagues
* Provide technical advice and recommendations to optimise equipment performance
* Represent Jubilee Energy with professionalism and integrity at all times
What You'll Bring to the Role
* Queensland Electrical Licence (Unrestricted) – Fitter/Mechanic qualification essential
* Permanent Australian work rights – this is a mandatory requirement
* Technical capability – ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings and control schematics
* Control systems knowledge – understanding of control system wiring and basic PLC concepts
* Mechanical aptitude – comfortable working with both electrical and mechanical systems
* Standards knowledge – solid understanding of relevant Australian electrical standards and regulations
* Work ethic – strong commitment to quality work and excellent time management
* Communication skills – clear written and verbal communication abilities
* Team player – able to work collaboratively while also operating autonomously when needed
* Technology proficient – computer literate for documentation and reporting
* Manual Driver's Licence – required for field service work
* Professional attitude – alignment with our core values and commitment to excellence
* Safety commitment – willingness to undergo pre‐employment drug and alcohol testing
Highly Valued Skills (Will Set You Apart)
* 3‐5 years of industrial or commercial electrical maintenance experience
* Deep Sea Electronics or ComAp control systems knowledge
* PLC troubleshooting or programming experience
* Experience working with BESS or renewable energy systems
* Forklift License or willingness to obtain
* Previous power generation, utilities, or energy industry background
