Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is located on the world‐famous Cable Beach in Broome, far north Western Australia. Broome is easily accessible by plane to all major Australian cities and offers a relaxed lifestyle with all the conveniences of shops, restaurants, cinemas, hospital and schools. Our property has 225 rooms of varying styles, 4 restaurants, pool side bars, tour desk, resort shop and day spa.
We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Landscape Gardener to join our team. This is a full‐time position reporting directly to the Landscaping Manager. The resort is set across 26 acres of beautifully presented grounds and offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate with an eye for detail to maintain the high standard of presentation.
The key duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
* Actively working alongside the team to carry out a variety of garden maintenance tasks
* Assisting with the design and installation of new gardens and landscaped areas
* Ensuring that all routine garden maintenance (mowing, pruning, weeding, rubbish removal etc.) is carried out on a daily basis and in a timely manner, with limited guest impact
* Implement, prioritise and maintain maintenance task lists
* Carry out any additional duties as assigned
The required skills and experience for this role include:
* Diploma in horticulture (minimum level required)
* Previous experience in a similar role
* A strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations and practices
* A current manual driver's license
* The ability to multitask and communicate effectively at all levels
* Flexibility to work some weekends as required
* Previous experience in a resort or hotel environment will be considered an advantage
