The role
Role Purpose
Define & implement quality frameworks that enable innovation, expansion, and compliance in Wellbeing Collective (WBC) portfolio in relevant markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Be an active Quality member in the quality activities and innovation projects as per the business growth aspirations.
- Collaborate with various cross‐functional team members for expansion projects, ensuring quality is embedded at every stage.
- Work with contract manufacturers externally (within Australia and overseas) for quality‐related matters including Quality Control activities, food safety, compliance and resolution of issues.
- Coordinate with markets receiving products originated from Australia on quality‐related matters.
- Support audit and assessment of new/ existing manufacturing and/or packing sites (including laboratories/analytical capabilities) as per the product standards and Unilever mandatory requirements.
- Assist cross‐functional teams with activities overlapping quality, such as product specification, testing parameters, transit trials, and risk assessment for relevant markets.
- Maintain updated Quality Agreements and AQLs between selling and buying entities for commercialized goods.
- Establish and implement QMS/SOP to embed mandatory minimum quality processes in the system.
- Advise the Quality Lead APAC on all actions related to quality that impact business needs.
- Represent the Quality function on appropriate forums.
- Participate in incidents management for relevant markets.
- Execute quality assurance programs, CoA release, participation in project meetings, and maintain relevant documents to ensure efficient and effective quality activities.
- Ensure timely resolution of quality issues and deviations, working collaboratively with internal and external teams on corrective and preventive actions.
- Execute and participate in the effective quality review and approval of batch records, release testing, and other quality‐related documentation.
- Manage quality‐related activities in manufacturing, including vendor and site audits and quality inspections.
- Maintain quality systems and procedures, including SOPs, batch records, and quality metrics; lead investigations and approve plans to address quality issues impacting products, supervising CAPAs for deviations and investigations.
What You'll Need To Succeed
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Quality Assurance, science, Food Technology, medical sciences, etc.; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient for the role.
- 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance + Quality Control, including product innovation, manufacturing operations, laboratory, and QMS experience in a complex environment.
- Sound knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, Business Processes, Quality Management Systems, HACCP & Food Safety.
- Working experience with TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) requirements for Australia.
- Manufacturing operations/factory experience.
- Experience in VMS (Vitamin Mineral Supplements), gummies, Hydration (powder products) is an added advantage.
- Prior auditing experience is an added advantage.
- Experience working in a cross‐functional environment.
- Ability to work with a multicultural team across varying time‐zones.
- Demonstrated agility with changing business needs.
- Strong analytical, prioritising, interpersonal, problem‐solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), and planning skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers, colleagues, and stakeholders across the organisation.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team in a fast‐paced, deadline‐oriented environment.
- Self‐motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of quality in distribution (Go‐To‐Market, WH Quality) is an added advantage.
