We're seeking skilled tradespeople to join our team of over 22 professionals in a hands-on role preparing structural carpentry walls, crafting quality display vitrines, and contributing to shopfitter installations under the guidance of our Workshop Manager.
PLEASE NOTE: multiple positions are available.
Your experience and qualifications will determine the pay point for each position.
Tasks & ResponsibilitiesThe position involves working within a team of over 22 tradespeople to perform key hands-on tasks, including preparing a range of structural carpentry walls, producing original and quality structures and vitrines, assisting with display cabinetry construction, and shopfitter installation, all under the supervision of the Workshop Manager.
Qualifications & ExperienceYou will possess a relevant trade qualification (Certificate II, III, or equivalent) and demonstrate relevant industry experience, such as Carpenter, Cabinetmaker, Shopfitter, Painter, or Plasterer.
You should apply your skills from your trade qualification to achieve quality outcomes.
Willingness to adapt to flexible working arrangements, including weekend and evening work, is required.
Labourers with tools-on and construction experience without the above qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
Benefits
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with a 10:00 am to 10:20 am teatime and 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm lunch break.Overtime opportunities are available on weekends and after 6 pm, but are not compulsory and depend on staff acceptance.Secure parking is available under the building, with free parking for motorbikes and pushbikes.You will work within Brisbane's art precinct, inside a climate-controlled building equipped with full workshop machinery.Tools and PPE will be supplied, and you will undergo WHS induction.
